I got 3 inches of hail (pea to dime sized) on my front porch. The sweet gum tree in the back yard seems to have lost it's leaves. Was very loud. I hid in the basement. I'll have to check tomorrow in daylight. Downtown Beech Grove.

Had sirens going off for a while here in W. Lafayette, but the all clear has been given. I didn't bother to look much outside have to prepare for finals.

You didn't miss anything. It never even got very windy in Lafayette and only light rain. My mom sent me a picture of a golf ball sized hail in her front yard near New Richmond.

I hope everybody made it through the storms with minimal damage, and good luck with your finals BogWalker

My BIL lives near 135 and southport, said it went over but didn't touch down

I live near 135 and Thompson and it went just north of us. The weather alerts on TV woke me up and we went out on the deck and watched the radar until it was past us. Heard just a handful of hailstones hit the deck roof, couple of gusts of wind, but other than that just a little rain.

I take the south Shadeland exit/flyover into work every morning. This morning at 7:00AM there were STILL piles of hail alongside the Interstate/exit/collector distributor. STILL!

All was quite quiet near GW HS last night. No hail that I could discern. Rather torrential downpour out of the storm that followed the tornadic storm. About 11:00-12:00 it rained like the dickens.

A FB friend of mine had a pic of golfball sized hail from the Linden area - one of her other FB friends shared it to her as the both live in Linden. That particular pic was also submitted to channel 13 and it was aired as an example of what was coming down. There was also a tornado warning for the area between Frankfort and Lebanon - didn't see anything on the Star's website about that.

Also - that photo taken from near Belle Union: That's a nice wall cloud. Not a funnel or a tornado, however.

All of our visitors at the hospital were sent to the basement. I was putting in a central line at the time. Wanted to check out radar and text some family but I had a sweet gown and hat on :):

we worried about losing power. The red power outlets are hooked to generator power, and you're supposed to plug important things like ventilators, dialysis machines, heart ballon pumps, etc to those outlets.

I recall at a diff hospital the power went out and 15s later they called RT stat to an ICU room. Wrong outlet.

Phone went off as we were making dinner last night. We're near Fairfield and Peterman in Greenwood. Sat on the porch for a while and ate dinner and watched the lightning in the distance. Both cells had passed without incident before we knew it.

My parents got hail pretty bad. They had a number of home windows get broken pretty badly. My moms photo's:

And yes, that is a covered bridge in the back yard. My dad built that over the creek and regularly drives through it. :-)

We got hammered by the hail for about 20-25 minutes. There is still hail on the ground. 1 car is damaged, the patio furniture covers were shredded, and going to have the roof and gutters checked out. It wasnt big, mostly pea to marble sized, but there was a lot of it. Looked like it had snowed last night.
