Trump on Suppressors: “I don’t like them at all.”

I don't know that one could classify an off-the-cuff comment as a "knee jerk reaction". Has there been any "action" taken with regard to suppressors? Seems like it's dropped off the radar.

I hadn't heard of that. Got a cite? Not saying he hasn't, but I haven't heard of that. As of now, I still stand by my position that it's dropped off the radar, so if he's done more, I just haven't heard of it.

Ah, thanks. I don't venture into the Class III forum so I hadn't seen that. Even so, in that thread, the actual bill from Bob Menendez only gets passing mention.

Suppressors are innocuous and as a matter of fact, they are helpful in many ways to the general public, as well as, firearm's owners. It seems so silly that uninformed opinions often are based on Hollywood portrayals. Time to deregulate them. Unfortunately I only got form letters from Hollingsworth and Young and there was no mention of suppressors anywhere in their responses.

A moment indelibly burned into my synapses by mid week TV was when the camera zeroed in on a TC Contender with the screw on .357 shot capsule choke murdering someone in a swimming pool. The sound effects guy added in a pooft to make viewers think it was an evil silencer.
