That exactly how people felt about the early battles in 1861 - a mere formality which 'their' side would win rather quickly. They came out to picnic and spectate

Something something remember history something repeat it

I have to go sometime, I would think a direct nuke strike would be as good a way as any.

This can be true if you are within a certain radius of ground zero. (plus it saves on cremation expenses) However as you get further away, death can come much slower and get pretty ugly.

To be fair, I don't remember either side being anti-gun and clueless back then.
Small arms vs. bongs and dildos might work out a little differently.

    Could be anywhere
I've heard quite a few regular people, from the Left and the Right, that talk about a revolution like it's something that would take a day or two, and not affect anyone's life.

Copernicus' book really set things in motion. :D

And yeah, most folks have no idea.

I should think the last thing they might wish to do is to create thousands of people who are well armed, don’t feel too bad just yet but know they’re walking dead, and have a long list of people that need killing

I remember back when the only people talking openly about a revolution were preppers in compounds in Montana and Idaho. Now it is congressmen and in forums. Must be time to get even more ammo.

And that Congressman was quite comfortable in talking about the possibility of using nuclear weapons on fellow citizens.

Thinking of the number of AR-15s that I have.

I will likely get 2 nukes.
