Two 15-year-olds face felonies for transmitting a text message

Two 15-year-olds, a boy and girl, were arrested for transmitting a picture of the girl's bare breast, via text message. The two are facing felony charges of child pornography. They could get a maximum of 5 years in prison, and will spend the rest of their lives as registered sex-offenders.

You don't see a distinction between an adult sending a picture of a 15 year old girl's breast and a teenager doing it?

Granted, she sent them to her boyfriend or whatever, but is it really that hard to meet up and get it on? Do they really have to send pictures? I guarantee you those pictures get shown around.

Did you read the article? The boy was forwarding the pic to others. A little different than a little show-n-tell between two children.

I'm not saying he didn't do something wrong. It's just not child pornography.

Kids are no-where near as innocent as we try to pretend they are. Every generation did this kinda stuff, the technology just changes. I remember ::friends:: getting emails with that kinda content from their sig others when we were that age...

Age based laws are terrible. Is an 18 year old really any different than a 16 year old?

Its happened in Indiana too. I think its fairly common to ruin people's lives with dumbass laws.

When I was a teen, chicks used to draw pics of their boobies on the side of a rock with piece of charcoal. That's all we had back then. Kids nowadays think they have it rough.

I know that kids at my high school exchanged polariod i-zone's (I-Zone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) back in the late 90's. I'd be willing to bet they weren't all PG. They're all grown up, quite normal, and successful people today. The law need to make a distinction.

Jeez wtf. Seriously I know when we were all that age we did that kind of stuff. This country is turning freakin Nazi Nanny state and its pissin me off. Here's the only problem I have with it. 15 year old girl sends pic to 15 year old boy. He passes it on and somewhere it gets lost that it's a 15 year old girl. Fast forward two months and you recieve a text message of a naked girl. Without your knowledge, you have recieved child porn. Since ignorance is no excuse, you're screwed.
