Ah, well it can easily be practice for some of the important skills one might need to employ in an actual gunfight, though.
It's disappointing (and irritating to me) when some USPSA shooters choose to deride and sometimes ridicule people whose goals for shooting in the match clearly do not coincide with theirs. I've seen more than a few who did not return. I applaud all who shoot for their own reasons and stick with their own plan.
