I'd have to redo the math, but if I remember right, my last 6 months I was at sea pulling over 100 hours a week.
One of my leftist cousins made a (what he thought) was a joking comment about this all being Trump's fault. My Navy cousin ripped him a new one.
I just thought about this. That means that after doing 16s all week you only work 10 on the weekend? Slacker. Or, as we used to say, Skate.

Well, this sounds like uselessness.
Exemptions are made for ships, that already have a fatigue problem.
Next, there's the SAME anoint of people doing the SAME amount of work. HOW does this fix that?
I'm surprised that no one is talking about GPS jamming as was documented in the Black Sea recently...incorrect position, false targets, fake collisions alerts...just saying.
Because with an alert crew, GPS working or not working is immaterial.

We have become far to reliant on devices over people.
If you only knew, you would be terrified. There is a whole generation coming up in the Army that has no clue how to use the old analog methods for doing their jobs. All the brains are in boxes instead of people's heads. I guess that's just like the rest of America. But in this case we are betting our national security and freedom on a lot of faulty circuit boards (possibly made by our potential enemies).

I thought I saw an article about the Army going back to teaching old school land navigation.
