My uncle was killed near ST. LO. on July 25th, 1944 during operation COBRA. My dad always said that they thought he was killed by the Air Force bombing short. I have requested paper work from the government and it lists cause of death as "GSW" chest. I assume that means gun shot wound chest.

Yesterday I saw lots of WW2 vehicules from the UK in convoy, they were all going back to the UK by the ferry-boat.
Lots of British black cabs too.
Taxi drivers from London take British vets to Normandy, free of charge, every year for D-Day.
That's at the cemetery I visited the other day.
It would be a very expensive taxi ride otherwise.
They also usually stay in hotels free of charge or the French government pays for their stay.
