The price of ammo has been going up stedy for about 6 months now.
So I have been buying on-line or at gun shows as much as I can. (good buys can still be found if you buy in bulk)
I have been told the glut of surplus 7.62x39 FMJ is drying up, has anyone found this to be true? I hope not I'm low on it right now.

Wal-Mart Columbus .45 Auto FMJ price increased a $1.00 since I bought it 2 months ago. Which leaves walmart as bout as cheap as buying it online and shipping.

I remember a few years ago when you could get Federal 550 round boxes of .22lr hollow points for $9.95/box, what happened to those days. Don't get me wrong, still the cheapest round to shoot.

    $9!?

More like $7 and some change. And that was only about 2 years ago.

I miss getting blazer 40S&W for $8.97 a box. .223 is the only thing I can find these days with equal or lower prices than the "old days."

The only difference I have seen at my local shop is a price increase on 7.62x39. It has only gone up $.75. I bought 500 rounds of Golden Bear at the last 1500 for $125.
