Heartbreak Ridge and The Princess Bride are two of my favorites from the 80's. Also, the original Highlander

Godfather 1 & 2 and Patton were all in the 70's...
probably the top 3 movies that I can think of off the top of my head.

How bout the Rutger Hauer classics, The Hitcher and Wanted: Dead or Alive.

Or Gene Simmons as the bad guy in Runaway.

I also enjoyed the Fred Dryer vehicle, Death Before Dishonor.

I would say the 80s is the decade with the worst movies that are still enjoyable to watch. I mean, Commando, Missing in Action, Delta Force, etc aren't exactly paragons of great filmmaking, but I still watch them ever time they are on.

I have to agree. The best movies are older ones (mid-90's or earlier).

Movies today suck. There are only a handful of movies in the last 5 years that I really liked. Hollywood has jumped the shark. Same old stoner/high school/college comedies and remakes or sequels.
