Waxing your gun?

Hmmm. Never heard of this but makes sense. I seem to have a hard enough time keeping them clean and oiled.

Blued. Nickel and Stainless generally don't need much care (though they are subject to corrosion, just not as readily).

I prefer to clean all oil from the gun with carb cleaner before a couple good coats of paste wax. I've been doing it for years and never had a worry when out in misty or rainy conditions. Once or twice a year does it depending on how much the gun is carried/used.

Yet another reason to own Glocks. The Tenifer Finish doesn't need any crazy oil/wax/silicone treatment for long term storage.
