Nancy Pelosi is no longer the Speaker of the House.. this is a fine start!
One thing is certain. They'll be from the establishment. This I can agree with. However, I'm a little worried about the successor, whoever that'll be.

You people who are happy the R's won:
Remember this day. You won't be so happy when you realize they don't care about you or the TEA Parties. The only thing that happened yesterday was to (hopefully) strengthen the TEA Party movement.

Man, that's got quote of the day written all over it.I already know they don't care about me. When I hire a whore, I don't think she cares about me, I just want her to do the stuff I hired her to do.
Exactly. I was also pretty bummed Harry Reid is still in office. Musta been that endorsement that people said wasn't real.

But you live in a world where somehow you can get everything you want by taking what most people consider an extreme position and then refusing to compromise.
I think that was an unkind thing to say and reeks of jealosy. You just wish you were able to get as many of your candidates elected as they have, and be as successful in achieving at least some of your agenda.

All I want or expect out of these guys is to slow down Obama's agenda, which they will. They can't pass any legislation of their own unless they cooperate with him.
I'm sure at some point they'll do something you guys don't like in order to get something most of their constituents want more, and then you guys can scream "Sellouts!" to the rooftops.
So who were you pulling for?
And now, the next time some really nasty anti-gun legislation pops up and they need some Democrat support to prevent it from happening, the NRA can point to the Democrats that the NRA rewarded for not huring gun rights. And perhaps keep something from getting through.

But hey, if only the purists could convince the 95% of the people who disagree with them to vote their way, we'd have a utopia of freedom right now. A unicorn in every pot.
We should remove all party labels and vote on the person. If that can't be done, then we should not align ourselves with any one party, it shows a lack of general intelligence and a narrow mindset. As if everyone in a particular group are all bad.
Everything you said is absolutely true. The only argument I have is over the last comment. Many on my friends are mindless democrats with high IQ's. The difference between being smart and intellegent is the use of common sense in your decisions. When given a choice between a Republican and a Democrat, I'll vote Republican even if I think the Democrat is basically a good person, and the Republican is an incompetent jerk.
Voting for the person rather than the party shows a lack of fundamental understanding of our political process, or a rejection of the process for some goal other than advancing your beliefs.
If you think you're accomplishing anything by voting for a Republican here, and a Democrat there, it is you who is showing....I'll be kinder than you and not attribute it to your intelligence, just to your ignorance.
Voting for party can be a mindless act, I suppose, but it can also be the sophisticated act of someone who understands how our system works and how to get the maximum positive effect from his vote.
Wanna compare IQs?

I used to think you were pretty smart. Now I realize that you're just an educated sheep. This post makes you no better than the mindless Liberals who vote straight Democrat no matter what.
