Rep Points Total (RPT): 6313 RP
Post Count (PC): 4557 P

PQI = RPT/PC = (6313 RP)/(4557 P) = 1.385 RP/P

PQI = 1.385 RP/P

Not very impressive. I did, however, include proper units and the correct number of significant figures in my calculation. Which reminds me why my PQI isn't very high.

Although largely inconsequential, post count and rep points do allow other members two more pieces of data in their quest to "feel out" other members.

I was curious if there was a quick way to determine post quality by looking at the relationship of post count and rep points.

Try this:

****Warning: minor math ahead****

Take your total number of rep points (found in the upper right-hand corner after you click the "UserCP" tab at the top of the page), and divide them by your total post count.

For example: 14,091 (RP) / 8,068 (PC) = 1.747

We'll call this our "Post Quality Index".

My PQI is 1.747
