Depends on how you look at it, I got my dads Fox B when he died, I was 8.
My mom gave my brother and I each a Marlin 60 when I was 14 for christmas, we both still have them.

Mossberg 702 Plinkster... I was looking at some new fishing gear and said to myself "every man should have a rifle" haha

I had no idea about guns but the guy at dicks took about an hour talking to me about the basics and told me to try this one out because if I didn't like it i was only out $100.

Ruger 77/22 all weather with scope. Dad bought it for me when I was about 10-11. I've had it 20 years. Someday my daughter can shoot it in another 10 years!

The first one I used was my dads Remington 41 .22 killed a lot of cans and starlings with it. When I was 13 I got a Remington 552 speedmaster .22 for Christmas I thought I was in heaven I still have both guns.

Grandpa gave me his Dad's Savage Model 19 NRA (.22 bolt action target rifle). From early '30s based on serial number. Has a Weaver model 344 scope, this would be from the '40s.

Has seen a lot of use, but my Dad and Grandpa are so anal it's still in A1 condition. Sweetest shooting .22 I've ever shot.

Dad kept a stevens model 15 22 rifle and some kind of plastic stocked stevens auto 22 in the cabinet with the hunting clothes. They were not mine but it was ok for me to use them at any time. They were mine to me. I liked the model 15 better as the stevens auto stock had been repaired with duct tape and pieces of wood. I had a bb gun when i was 3 and a dart gun as soon as i could raise my arms. We still have the model 15 but the auto was sold cheap in a garage sale.

Dad bought me a 20 youth guage stevens shotgun single shot at about 8 or 9 for cristmas and it served my needs well for 8 years till the stock did not fit me. Then he got me a 870 12 guage at 16.

The first one I purchased for myself was a winchester 9422 in 22 mag. i got the mag after shooting a trapped fox that pulled the stacke while I walked in. I put 4 shots into that fox (not the best placed till the last) out of 5 shots. I thought I needed more power.I still have it in the safe.

Purchased at bradis guns in 1983/84 back when the place was mainly chaiinsaws and leaf blowers. With 3-9 power scope and a box of ammo it cost around 225 dollars. It is semi retired.
