Definitely the S&W 627 .357 x8, really like the S&W revolvers and their potential resale.

So I'm considering picking up a new toy...
    options are:
    S&W 627 .357 x8
Yugo m92 PAP with arm brace (paperless sbr)
    Sig p226/229

honestly im leaning toward PAP but thought I'd ask INGO's opinion

They've come down in price and are a pretty good deal. Plus, it's more fun than it should be.

It is good to see several votes for the 627. To me, the PAP is not in the same league as the 226 or the 627. While I have a 226 also, a present from my wife 25 years ago, the 627 gets more use and is a great shooter. I use it for steel plate matches. It is accurate, fun, and unique. Use it with moonclips and reloads are fast and you won't be chasing brass around the range. I have the PC model because it has a 5" barrel. It doesn't get much nicer than a 5" N-frame S&W revolver.

Go for the 627PC with 5" barrel. You will have a blast. Get a 226 next time. Enjoy.

The next big item on my list is a P226 mk25... Probably... Maybe... You know how those lists can change....

A pap would be a great choice. Love both the 229 and 226 though. Can't go wrong with either

I'd go for the Sig, at the top of my list right now is a 226 Elite SAO, seems like a good way to get a high cap gun and a single action trigger kinda like all my other 1911s

Well, for 'just fun', I'd have to agree with the PAP.

I'm a huge S&W wheel gun fan, and carry one of two regularly (which one depends on whether I'm wearing a hip or shoulder rig). That's usually my first 'knee-jerk' response.

Sigs have a great reputation and great following. If the purchase was going to be for an EDC, this would be the suggestion. My preference between the two would be the P226, 'cause the extra .5" bbl. length is useful (sight radius, blah, blah, blah) but gives up nothing to concealability over the P229, and I believe the capacity is roughly the same. Caliber? I dunno, they're all good. I'll say .357 Sig 'cause everyone else has said either 9mm or .40 S&W, LOL.

But, strictly for the 'fun' and 'oddity' factors, pick the PAP.

You could buy the pap and end up selling it in a few weeks. You could buy the sig and enjoy it.

Or you could buy the S&W and have something you'll pass on for generations and have an excellent day at the range every single time, and enjoy carrying it.
Especially if you get into reloading. 357 magnum is one of the most cost saving easiest rounds to reload there are. 5 cents a round is reasonably doable for minimal effort and expense.
