    what do I carry?

I carry a sig 238,(.380)I'm not a very big guy and cant conceal anything very big.I always figured a good hit from a .380 is better than a miss with a .44. so practice, practice

    .40S&W in a G27

.40 and 9mm have exentsive history in real world shootouts, and every state police agency in the US is either carrying .40S&W or .45 GAP; so if it goes to court, the round is well documented as a protection round. I've also seen some published FBI reports on the terminal ballistics that had autopsy assessment, X-rays and photos demonstrating the perfomance of the round. I can shoot it accurately inside 25 yards, or self defense distances, so there is no reason there to change caliber for accuracy; and I am able to conceal the G27 well so it is also no reason to consider changing platforms for concealabilty.

I carry either a Sig C3 or a Kimber Crimson Carry Ultra both in .45. For pocket carry places / days, I carry a Kahr MK9.

    Kel-tec PF9 w/ Crossbreed supertuck if I don't have layers of cloths.
Glock 26 with a Remora for normal cloths
Sometimes I'll go with the M&P 40c in the same remora.

Depends on what I'm wearing as to what I think I can conceal best.

I wish the best caliber out there was included....the .357 mag revolver! Ruger's SP101, in 357 magnum, is a fantastic personal defense gun!

great pole idea. 9mm will probably win because the majority of people question the effectiveness of the .380. also 9mm guns are generally avalible in a smaller slimmer sizes which is better for edc.

    Currently:

SP101 .357 Magnum 3 inch loaded with Golden Saber 125 gr MV Magnums

holster - Galco FLETCH (made for the 2 & 1/4 so the barrel hangs out a little)

+ 2 Bianchi speed strips with 5 Sabers in each

    Will probably soon switch to:

XDM compact 9mm loaded with Federal 124 grain +ps HST (Spring/Summer)

    XDM 4.5 .40 S&W loaded with Speer Gold Dot 165 grain (Fall/Winter)

I also carry a Surefire 6p I've modded with an Oveready McClicky butt switch and a Malkoff 260 lumen drop in LED.
