    I saw it on a persons signature line and though it was a good idea. Some people take things to heart and at least they then know you were just poking fun and not mocking or being mean.

    I don't use purple text. If people can't get sarcasm, that's not my problem. Unfortunately, people are over-using the purple on INGO. They're using it as an excuse to post mean or snarky things without retribution: "You can't get mad; it was purple! See?"

    AFAIK, on INGO, the use of purple text to indicate sarcasm originated with Paco Bedejo. Thus the reason we call it "Paco Purple". I believe it's in his sig line, as well.
