where did purple text come from?

I am colorblind too. Seeing it in the posts is easy enough, but trying to figure which color is purple if I want to post something is very difficult!

As I am colorblind, and can not distinguish the color purple from other specific colors, I imagine that I am s.o.l. in this regard.

AFAIK, on INGO, the use of purple text to indicate sarcasm originated with Paco Bedejo. Thus the reason we call it "Paco Purple". I believe it's in his sig line, as well.
