I have a Colt M1908 hammerless .380. It is worth very little in its present condition and I did not give a bunch for it. I have always wanted one and after some soul searching I have decided to just go ahead and try to make it a shooter. I won't lose a bunch of money and I will have an awesome gun. Others may disagree but a gun that is only for looking at does not belong at my house.

You don't have to re-blue it to shoot it. Go ahead and shoot it. I inherited a nice 1916 Luger, I took it to the range and shot it, a lot of people would not shoot something that old. But I wanted to shoot it. I bought a couple of manuals on how to take it apart and clean it. I also bought a newer manufactured mag for it as well. So I later took it apart and cleaned it, the Germans stamped almost every part of that weapon.
