    Wow that sucks. :noway:

That shouldn't keep you from trusting other people.
I think if you trust someone enough to make her your wife you should trust her with that too.

Stealing from my safe was the least bad thing she did to me. All of which I found out as I tried to figure out how to take care of my 1 year old son alone and keep my job while she sat in jail for two weeks for check fraud.

I could type pages and pages. I'm a very trusting person by nature, but she broke it in a big big way. Without the kind of counseling I could never be able to afford....that kind of trust is just gone from me forever.

Well sorry to hear that, I understand.

My son is a little over a year old so it's going to be awhile until anyone but my wife and I have a key.

My wife has access but I doubt she remembers the combo to the big safe. She does have the key to the small safe in the bedroom.

Only my wife, and I doubt she remembers the combo, and, she's never tried to open it as far as I know. If I can't trust her with the combo, I shouldn't have married her. ;)

My gun safe is the same safe everything else is in. I've told my wife the combination a number of times. Next time I need her to get in it I'll have to tell her how again. She never even remembers which direction to turn the knob first.
This matches our situation to a tee. Our eldest son also has the combo as he is our Executor.

Myself, My Brother, My Father, and One best friend know where the spare key is, and they are the few that I would also loan anything I have to, no questions asked.
And they would and have done the same for me.

My wife's jewelry is in the safe, so she insisted on knowing the combination! And my grown daughter knows where the combination is stored.

I don't own a safe. I believe safes are useful only if they are either too large to be removed easily, or bolted to the floor. My budget forbids the former and my apartment lease forbids the latter. I do have a gun lock, which I will use when I have to secure my weapon in my absence. I will also hide my locked firearm in one of several locations. It's not the best solution, but it's the solution that works best for me.

We don't have a safe, two lock boxes. One is his and one is mine. We each have a key to both that we have on us.
