”The list of prohibited items at Greater Nevada Field has remained unchanged since our inception in 2009,” he wrote. ”We will always place fan safety as our top priority at our stadium.”
Disagree.
Disarming is NOT "safety"

virtue signalling seems to be working. If it's working for them, maybe we ought to try it.

Unless you can convince us that this chick was surprised that a sporting venue had a "no firearms" policy, it's virtue signaling.
”By taking away their right to self-protection, all you have done is made them more vulnerable to attack,” she said. ”You have fallen prey to the absurd idea that American citizens need only trust their government for protection. This is indeed a lie and a blatant disregard for our constitutional rights.”
She said she had considered accepting the invitation to sing the anthem and use the opportunity to publicly condemn the search for weapons. ”But I have too much respect for the national anthem and the time dedicated for it,” she said.
I'm always happy. Life is too short. Slap my mama, shoot my dog, or eat the last piece of chicken... then we got problems.

I'm ok with this. This is war we're in now. Playing nice, going along to get along, not rocking the boat, compromising and ignoring each little, incremental step has gotten us to where we are now.
I would never consider the first two.
cbhausen bites own lip hard enough to draw blood... I can have a field day with this thread but I think I’ll just turn the other cheek.
Wait, so because this lady refused to sing at a venue that had a pre-existing (and you presume) no firearms policy you consider that she is merely virtue signalling because of her decision to not have her right infringed?Unless you can convince us that this chick was surprised that a sporting venue had a "no firearms" policy, it's virtue signaling.

Why? Because she shouldn't have anything to worry about? Because there's no way at all for a bad guy to get a gun in there past the detectors?
So it would be fair to say that it is your opinion she was not having her rights infringed, and that because she was aware of a previously known policy of no firearms in the venue (which she had previously attended) that she was virtue signalling.
No. Her rights were not infringed because she doesn't make the rules on other people's property.
I call it virtue signaling. She's wishy-washy on her stance, unlike some, who wouldn't spend a dime at a particular place based on policy alone.
