Does anyone sneak guns into the house. I would never say I do it or heard the question 'Where did that come from.'. I wouldn't even tell you I've tossed them through the bedroom window. Or put them in my lunch box. Do you have any funny stories that could also give me new ideas?

Sort of.... but only because prying-eye neighbors don’t need to know what I have.

The wife is far too busy dutifully making sammiches to care what I bring into the house.

I told her I bought a new gun.

    Her: how much was it?
Me: you dont want to know.
Her: yeah, I do. How much?
Me: no you dont. What do you want me to buy you?

    Lol

Take a gun case to work every day. Wife doesn't know if it's full or empty. She was suspicious when she asked "Aren't you about out of room in the safe?" And I answered " which safe?"

Wife sees all the finances so what would be the point.

I do ok with the finance part. She has been telling me that's the last gun you're bringing into the house. So money isn't involved at all. She thinks I have an addiction but I call it a hobby. I quit playing with them right away and when she asks, oh I've had that one.

That's exactly the ideas I need to support my addiction, um habit, um hobby.

I figure when the kids put us both in the old folks home, they can sell the guns to pay for it. In that respect they are retirement savings.

I bought a Sub2000 because it is easier to get past relatives and transport legally in other states.

In fact I am at the Grandpa-in-laws with my wife and anti-gun sister-in-law. She has no idea it's here and she even helped us unload the car.

I have the perfect solution. You can buy all the guns you want and store them at my house. I will even let you visit them from time to time and take them out shooting when you are not around so they don't get lonely. :ingo:

We dont need to discuss it. The Bill's have always been paid. I dont take anything away from my family to pay for my hobbies. But I dont need her knowing exactly how many I have either LOL

I have started open carrying at all of our family events. No one makes a peep, not even the socialist-in-laws. There was one time when a fudd-in-law told me he was a strong supporter of the 2nd A, but that no one needs an ar15.... He doesn't speak to me and I got scolded on the way home lol. After that though I think I earned respect from that side of the family, events are much more social and fun than awkward and tense. My side of the family just expects me to always have a gun on me and one in the car just in case we get a chance to shoot after dinner lol.

My wife and I both have cash to use at our discretion that is aside from bills and things. She knows I have guns and isn’t opposed but she’s not a big fan. I use my cash for guns/ammo/accessories. Lucky for me she can’t tell the difference between any of them. So every time I get a new one I just take it to the safe and smile.

With all the transitions of late I really need to update my files.
I keep the recent ones updated because those stay in my small safe. I have a white out strip pen. And several new booklets. I copy down everything if it starts looking too messy. If I decide for sure to keep something it will get stored in a separate place. I have a process I use. I keep my hobbies pretty organized and labeled. Now finding where I put everything isnt always easy but I usually have an idea.
    .
Now, my garage, forget it lol.
