Domestic abuse is a terrible thing. It sucks to Officers falling into the 40% "statistic" or meme rather.

Anyone know what official misconduct and the theft entails? Possibly stealing from the department?

To those who swear an oath, then break that oath - shameful

to those who swear an oath, and uphold the oath regardless of who is on the other side of the law- thank you.

I cannot imagine the position this put some fine officers in. Having to go into a situation and lay this on the table. All I can offer as an Indianapolis business owner and citizen is a big thank you.

Allegedly, he recovered a firearm from a car and kept it for himself. I'm sure the probable cause will be made public soon enough. I have NO first hand knowledge of the allegations nor any idea if they are true.

He removed it from a car that went to auction and didn't log it in.

Hopefully Paul Harvey brings "the rest of the story" sooner than later.

I really wish I hadn't clicked on that link.

I hope things turn out better than they look at first glance. He's been an amazing friend and mentor to me personally, and a natural leader for our community. In my experience he has been nothing but a stand-up guy. My strongest initial reaction is skepticism, followed by an inclination to reject this as irrelevant regardless of any potential truth...it doesn't change my evaluation of the man in the slightest.

    Feels bad man.
