Bingo!!! The driver was a smart a-- blooming idiot. He got what he deserved IMO. Wanna play games like that..go ahead. Stupid people!!:noway:

I just want to be clear, so I don't get the wrong impression. A person is a"smart a-- blooming idiot" for insisting that their rights are upheld and they "got what he deserved "?

So if I understand that, you have a complete disdain for people exercising their rights AND the document where those rights are enumerated.

Yet you seem to have no problem with cops being liars and thugs trying to bully people into giving up those constitutional protections? If I have that right, I would appreciate a lot less crying, whining and calls of "cop bashing" in the future when people react negatively to thuggery. By that I mean, please don't condone and support lying and bullying and then act surprised when you get it back.

so cop bashing is ok because the cop was simply doing his job and was greeted with bs which in turn caused all his problems? so can we ask if you were simply doing your job and ran acrossed someone being uncooperative as this guy was about any reason at all just to argue for the sake of arguing, you wouldn't of changed your attitude?

Is it cop bashing to notice the obvious fact that someone was deliberately lying to bully someone into giving up their rights?

I'f I am "simply doing my job" and in the course of that I try to bully them out of their constitutional rights and they become uncooperative I promise you, I am not going to aim a gun and/or taser at them, I am not going to start lying to them and I am not going to start threatening them with captivity, just to get my way. Ever.

I've been stopped at one of those inland checkpoints in California. Not to far from Salton Sea which is about 50-75 miles from Mexico.

It was during the day though. It was kind of humiliating.

The point some of you guys just can't seem to comprehend is this particular driver was acting way weird. He was not acting like a normal person acts on a simple traffic stop. It is not about him being concerned about his rights. What this was is a guy who has an attitude problem and uses the excuse of his rights as a way to be a a--. His actions and his actions alone is what pushed this stop to the point it went.

No... I think it was just about him being concerned with his rights. If you're standing on someone's doorstep and they refuse to let you in & they get a little peeved when you start telling them what to do, is that a good reason to escalate the situation and come back with a warrant? Maybe the people just don't appreciate this treatment by their loving Government. Maybe they just want to be left alone, when they are trying their hardest to obey all the zillions of laws, and still a lightbulb fails them.

Maybe the cops should have just written the ticket and let him go. You should watch the ending where they released him because he did nothing wrong. The rest of that nonsense was a fishing attempt to conduct a search without real probable cause.

My suggestion is if you don't want to get stopped don't commit any crimes, even simple equipment violations.:twocents:

So you are saying there is no way on G**'s Green Earth that you are going to be able to just be left alone from the police. Stuff like that fails all the time and its impossible to always be on top of every light bulb. The entire reason the "license plate bulb" is on the books is to give cops another excuse to pull over whomever they want to.

the probable cause came up when the driver was being a jerk. funny part is they dont tell you if they were actually on something or not because that would discredit their dumb behinds. imagine that.

That's crazy, I thought PC meant things like "the cop could smell alcohol" or "the cop saw some illegal drug contraband on the back seat."

As it turns out, the cop can just tell his write in his report that "the driver was a jerk" or "the driver was whining about his rights being violated."

I have been thinking lately how interesting it is that so much law and legal trouble surrounds motor vehicle transportation. The level of scrutiny involving personal travel is at an all time high. You can't make it through an evening of television without seeing several drunk driving commercials or a Click it or Ticket PSA. Specialty law firms have established an entire industry of defending speeding tickets, dui's, and other traffic related legal matters. Municipally, special courts are devoted to handling nothing but traffic violation. In Marion County, these courtrooms are so packed with suspects, they have disallowed anyone in the courtroom other than the parties involved. Thankfully, Indiana doesn't have any e-check laws or there would be another layer of government to deal with. Red light cameras and speed cameras have generated bure revenue for local governments and the companies they contract with to operate the camera systems. It appears, through a system of government owned roads, government mandated licensing of you and your car, and government enforcement of their codes, we have seen quite the heavy handed dealings with a right that should be held as simple and basic. The right to travel freely and uninterrupted. I find it interesting that something people view as so basic, actually gets more scrutiny than their tax returns. I can't think of another activity where so many rights intersect. 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, not to mention the volumes of codes and infractions - all summed up on a 20 question multiple choice test. Of course this leads me the realization that driver's license aren't about licensing a fit driver in the least, but that's another thread. I didn't do a great job of articulating what is in my head. I'll work on refining that though.

I fail to see the problem. Doo Doo brain refused to follow a order and played his same stupid little games. He acts like he knows the law but in fact it clearly shows he does not. So he ends up with a smashed window and the electric ride where he screamed like a little girl. And he did in fact come out of the car.

Won in court? Won what? When a K-9 alerts on your vehicle there is PC that narcotics are present and it will be searched one way or the other. Oh and you don't have the RIGHT to demand that the K-9 come and do another sniff. SHeezz what a little twerp. Wonder what church he pastors at?:D

It sure seems like our little mouthy pastor has a hard time on traffic stops.

My main gripe is from the first video where the officers did not follow through with their LAWFUL orders. Both videos should be labeled "How not to act when stopped".

All in all I think both video's are actually quite comical.

It seriously makes me want to puke knowing a LEO gets satisfaction out of tasing a person, giving them an "electric ride", and making them "scream like a girl"... Seriously, WHY would you find this comical!? :n00b:

    On another note...

I see nothing wrong with the person being present while the dog sniffs the vehicle. Why should he not be able to see the dog alert to his property? Would you not want the same for yourself? I don't trust ANYONE else's word...I want to see it with my own eyes.

    A. How is he to know which ones are lawful, when the person doing the order is clearly lying?

    B. You are making life harder for your peers.

His win in court means 2 things

    1. The LEO's were in the WRONG
    2. He was in the RIGHT

And I don't think he's a "little mouthy pastor" or a "twerp". He actually has some big balls to stand up to these types of ILLEGAL searches. If you can't see that maybe your in the wrong line of work. Attitudes like yours towards citizens gives LEO's a bad rap.

Wouldn't a K9 sniffing the vehicle be considered a "search"...therefore, you should actually need PC PRIOR to perfoming the "sniff"...??? :dunno:

Do people actually give you reputation points for the things that come out of your mouth? Everything that worries me about the future of our liberty is represented in this thread. No rights are safe when we have people taking such joy in the humiliation and oppression of others. BOTH of these videos ARE A DISGRACE!!

It sure seems like our little mouthy pastor has a hard time on traffic stops.

Looks like he runs into a lot of rights-stomping situations. I've got news for you, roadside checkpoints are blatantly unconstitutional. The pastor has some die-hard principles and some big cajones. Unlike his government counterparts.

Just because they think that "THEY ARE THE LAW" doesn't make their orders LAWFUL.

While you are laughing as government oppresses us, our forefathers are crying.

A K-9 sniff is not a search. You do not not probable cause or even reasonable suspicion to conduct a K-9 sniff. A K-9 alert IS probable cause for a search. No warrant required on a vehicle.

It would amaze people the quantity narcotics are taken off the street by just walking through hotel parking lots with a K-9.

Huh? Where in the heck is all that coming from?

I watched the video and was commenting on it. After reading what some of their supporters (apparently other LEO's) have posted, it's gets scary to think that those cops in the video actually have supporters. The pastor did nothing wrong, he was stopped for a civil infraction (not a crime), he stopped as directed and complied with reasonable request of the officer. You can't arrest someone for being a jerk. Because the pastor didn't jump when the cop ordered him to jump... the cop's ego popped and the cop went over the line. The guy being a jerk is in NO WAY probable cause for anything, it's simply the excuse. Evidence being the pastor was released with no charges because he did nothing wrong. Would anyone suggest that the cops were just being nice to him by letting him go??

We are not currently a police state as many officers apparently believe. My dad was a cop when I grew up, I remember the stories he told. Cops are not a superior form of life and they make mistakes too. We actually do have rights, some of which are there to protect us from possible inappropriate actions by police. When an individual gets pulled over, that cop is in NO WAY superior to the individual being stopped. You can't simply order us around to massage your ego. Probable cause was enacted to help you do your job, not to become a weapon to abuse your power!

I don't HAVE to respect anyone but, I may choose to by their appropriate actions.

I have taken the ride three times. The full five second rides. And no I did not scream. I did however make grunting noises. You know..like a pig.

This clown squealed like someone was cutting his head off with a pocket knife. A wuss I would say. A drama queen.

And heck no I am not a lawyer thank you...that hurt man.
