I was already in my late 50s when I first considered owning and carrying a firearm. I was reluctant, because, at the time, I thought that I was admitting to myself that I was no longer that tough 20 year old I was years ago. But I knew times were changing, both politically, and societally, and it was time to even the odds. I tried to educate myself, found and perused INGO, got the license (so did my wife) ,researched and purchased our carry guns, joined INGO, carried, started practicing, and got training...in that order, all with the encouragement of INGO people. So yeah, INGO has changed things some, and for the better, I must say. I consider myself better informed, better prepared to protect myself and my family, and somewhat more politically aware.

I'm new to Indiana and found this site early on. Got my LTCH and being from the peoples republik of Illinois, wow what a difference. Being here reminds me in a way of the Army. You are forced together withl ots of people, some you respect and admire, some you wish you could distance yourself from. Anyway, hasn't changed my approach to life.

When I joined originally I was unaware of 2A rights and was just interested in shooting for the fun of it. I was partially for the limitation of where one could carry and who should carry. However, with the help of several wonderful INGO members I was able to become educated and am now more then a firearm enthusiast, but a constitution enthusiast.

    Love this place:)

near Bedford on a whole lot of land.
InGO hasn't changed my politics or attitudes and outlooks any. Like everywhere else in life there are great folks and there are jerks and I've found both here. If anything it has given me a little more distaste for politcal extremists of any flavor.

It's great to have places where those of us who are experienced can talk and discuss and learn some things and teach some things, and it's great to have places where new folks can learn decently and have their media or gunshop expert induced knowledge of firearms corrected. I've met a few folks who are becoming friends, but that's a slow process because I take friendship seriously and don't toss the term around lightly.

I used to assume that any random gun owner I might meet would necessarily be a decent person, a step above the average non-owner on the morality scale, based simply on the facts of being non-criminal and a gun owner. I now know better, and have been cured of many similar misconceptions.

I voted changed a little. Already had several guns and LTCH way before I joined INGO. Already carried every day. I have learned quite a bit on here and met some great people though and look forward to doing more of the same.

The only real change is that my dislike for the radical, irrational side of libertarianism that ignores human behavior has been more firmly cemented.

Exposure to topics that might not otherwise end up on my radar give me ample opportunity to hone and refine my, pardon the phrase, world view. But aside from that, not much change.

Well things did change after I joined INGO
I have always collected firearms, but seldom shot them. Now if I don't intend to shoot them, I will sell or trade them to get something I am going to shoot.
I have buddies to go shooting with.
    Made some good friends.
    Learned a lot.
    Got my LTCH
My wife is happier too...it keeps me off the porn sites.
    Thanks, Fenway

INGO hasn't changed me at all, really. My beliefs have remained constant. I've always been what most would consider a non-conforming, radical libertarian (not capitalized on purpose).

Poll is flawed. If you did a complete 360, you'd be back to where you started.

I've made a lot of cool friends through INGO. I've learned a few things about guns. I've been able to espouse rhetoric and have it challenged on INGO. As always, there are moments when the interwebz is taken much too seriously.

I'll tell you what's changed me most... the knowledge from other user's avatars that bacon can also be used as intimate evening-wear.
