I went to buy a computer once from a dude who was stuck in a recliner, covered with a bed sheet, surrounded by computers, had an odd rail thin "feeder woman" attending him and the house smelled like pot and poop.

Oh yeah, as I was backing out of the driveway I noticed a nest of feral cats on the porch and a mattress shoved against a broken window filling the hole.

I had a response typed up but I heard the ice cream truck. Sent the visiting nurse out with $100 so she could get me a snack and she accidentally unplugged the computer when she was climbing around under my snack table (it is really a dinner table but I get hungry). I thought I dropped some nuts off my drumstick but I was wrong.

I think what the OP is pointing out is the way our society is becoming. Look every where you go. We are all fat! Why? Because we don't move around. We use every piece of technology we can to do the movement for us and this is what is happening. It drives me insane that I see myself even doing it. Take the stairs not the elevator I tell myself. Park farther away so you walk farther to go inside I tell myself. Go to Walmart on a crowded day and watch the people drive around for five minutes just to find a spot closer to the door. They could've walked to the door in two minutes but thats just too far!!! I don't dislike obese people. Even these habits get to me and I do some of them.

These people will jam up an entire parking lot waiting 5 minutes for someone just starting to unload a cart near the entrance. Yet they can walk all over the store.

I get highly annoyed when I'm a vehicle with someone that will drive in circles trying to find a place somewhat close to the door. I usually park pretty far out unless I'm doing a late night run to Walmart and then I'll park under a parking lot light. Doesn't matter if it is close or not (usually at 1am you can find one fairly close though).

I pulled into a parking lot at Wally World a while back just a few spots from a cart corral. There was a tall fat dude behind his car loading groceries. He closed the trunk, then looked at the cart corral, thought for a moment and just pushed the cart into the spot next to him. He decided in his lazy mind that the distance was too far.

After all, it was a whopping TWO SPOTS AWAY!!
