Had a great time today! As I do not own any suppressors yet, this was a great time to get out and get hands on a lot of them while getting to throw a lot of rounds down range. I showed up a little before 4, and judging by the pics, it appears a vendor left or a tent was moved. I think the only downfall was that it felt like the vendors were crammed together. I got hit with brass a few times. It was really cool though. I have a lot of good ideas on cans now, and Corey will be getting my money for putting this on.

Had a good time. I must say, the best part was meeting Brooks in person! A great guy and very happy to talk about cans and guns for as long as you want! Glad he got a chance to shoot my AC556 with the little Wasp on it!

I am happy that I finally got a chance to shoot a couple of centerfire pistol cans. I"m still on teh fence on wheter I want one or not, but I"m definately leaning more towards the 'buy' side of the fence! I wish I could have shot a .45 can on a 9mm to hear how it sounded, but it didn't work out that way. All teh vendors I talked with were good guys and were more than happy to share their knowledge with atendees. I know I saw a coupld oe new customers and I hope that all the vendors madea bunch of money today! As much as I like MCF&G and the fact that it's about ten minutes from my house, I hope that next time around, it's at a place where we can shoot rifles some. And if so, I certainly hope that Gemtch comes back as The guys told me they had some fun stuff, like an M249 with them!!

Thanks Corey and all involved for getting this together and putting forth all the effort. I hope it was worth it for you guys; enough to do it anually!!

Thanks for putting on such a great event, MCFG thanks so much for providing the site and people,I will keep my membership going because of events like this. Could not be more impressed for a large event, some positive feed back would be that it might be nice to have a map of the layout of the site where each vender and fire line are.
    Thanks so much guys

I thought it was a great event. Our group was planning on staying only for an hour or two, and we ended up staying most of the day. I got to try a bunch of firearms I've never shot before (firearms newbie), met a bunch of cool vendors (we chatted with Brooks for a while, among other great people), and enjoyed the perfect weather. It was my first visit to MCF&G too. I went home with two patches and a vaccination from the INGO prize wheel. Already looking forward to next year! :ingo:

Really enjoyed this .22, hella fun to shoot:

That is one fancy looking couple if I do say so myself. :D

I have to say that the wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves this afternoon. Thanks to Corey and everyone who put this on/made it possible!

I had a good time. It was a very well ran event! I hope it only gets better and bigger each year.

There was a guy in the middle of all the vendors, kind of by himself. He must have been in a bad mood. He diet want anyone shooting his full auto Uzi, and he was an ass about letting anyone shoot the semi auto Uzi. He didnt even really want to answer any questions about any of his guns and suppressors.
I don't know WHO he was, but I hope he isn't back next year.

But despite that incident, and being harassed by Tyler and cwood, it was a great day. One of my brothers even became a member of INGO last night, just because of the well ran event, and the INGO booth. He DID think Tyler was gay, because of the pink beard, and I didn't try to correct him :D

Whats the release date or availability of the gemtech 22 ammo?

Kel from Gemtech's best guess was in a month or so, and should be available through distributors like Brownells. His best guess on price was maybe 1.00 more than CCI subsonic but that would all be determined in the next month based on freight. Again thats what he told me, He said the first million rounds would be available soon.

The fiancee and I had a great time at the event. Bumped into a lot of friends we hadn't seen in a while, tried out a bunch of weapons, and learned a lot about suppressors in general. Many thanks to all the vendors, crew, and volunteers who helped put this together, especially regarding the ammo and general wear and tear on the weapons; we came prepared with our own ammo, but most folks were happy to let us use theirs, even for full auto mags.
Now....just have to figure out how to get a few new items on the wedding registry... :-)

I was thinking about it, I think my only change for next year would be to put steel targets at one end of the range. I think the "Hush" effect is lowered when you have someone shooting non-subsonic ammo through an MP5 at a steel target.
