Years ago when I was a installation / warehouse manager for a network infrastructure company I received the nick name "Doominator". This was due to the sales staff being required to have me approve their bids prior to being submitted. Very few bids ever made it out on the first draft.

I have a coworked that randomly picks nicknames and I happened to get possum for mine and for some reason it has stuck.

I had a union rep we named possum one time. They still call him possum. All he ever did was roll over and play dead.

Another guy from years ago we called Ron Ron because he went around all day long talking to himself out loud you never knew if he was saying something to you or to himself.

Nickname I was given at work was big D.

Don't go there. The first letter of my name is a D and when I was younger I was heavily involved with powerlifting.

I was honored with a nickname at work after working fir the railroad for 3 months. We were outside smoking. And we were talking about why we chose the railroad. When they got to me, I wasn't really paying attention, I was tired. I meant to say I'm tired if dealing with the public. But being tired I tried to summarize and simply said "because I don't like people!" they all just kind of looked at me and said something about worrying about me going postal. Since then they called me Postal.

I work in the office now as a dispatcher. And I still catch the guys saying "Postal's working today" on the radio.
