Great pictures! They instantly made me think of a picture I took when dabbling with photography a while back...

Those are some really nice pictures!

I like photography and guns too but I found it to be a very expensive hobby. It's not the guns or ammo that are hurting my wallet, its the cost of those fancy cameras. My pictures dont come out that good after I shoot the camera. Maybe I'm doing it all wrong...

I have an older Cannon Rebel DSLR camera. I am looking at upgrading to the T1i... do you like the camera? I like my older Cannon, so I am sure the newer is great!

Using a tilt-shift lens on some of these for selective focus might be interesting, to bring out the dynamic lines in what might otherwise be a rather static scattering of ammo. I also feel like I want to do some post-processing to heighten the contrast between silver and everything else.

Definitely can't combine a love of photography with a love of Glocks. In Long Beach, California, the police would stop you for taking pictures without aesthetic value.

I used to buy cheap slr cameras at yard sales and physically hold the lenses in front of my nikon. The result was usually an incredibly narrow depth of field with selective focus capability.

My favorite was a yashica something-or-another 50mm that created a kind of squirly boquet.

I've long lost that lens, but I'll shoot an example in the next few days.

Right now I have 5D2, 35L, and 85 1.8. I used to shoot a lot of concerts, and used to have a lot more gear.

    Good post.

Would like to see some pics of the firearm are you shooting them with. The gun, with the ammo would be cool to see..., and maybe some target results from say..., 300 yards?

If you are in to optics this much, your scope must be killer expensive! Like one of those Noveske Snipers...

The pics are good.... but an attractive woman in a bikini would make a big difference :-)

Chad, you will find if you buy the kit, the lenses that come with the T1i aren't as good as the camera can be (although still pretty dang good). The camera's processor is excellent. If you just get the body and get the higher end canon lenses with the red stripe, it's crazy good.
Also I noticed, as I'm sure you have, they have a T2i out now, i think it has something to do with better video. cheers

Hey, this ain't the beer snob's thread (but Jamaica does make good beer! :D)

My only recent foray into firearm photography ...using a Nikon, FWIW...

In addition to shooting and photography, I'm a musician and enjoy motorcycles. Having several expensive hobbies makes it difficult to adequately fund any particular one. :(
