    Thanks everyone!

Yes, Shooter521 is right. Silver Bear 5.45x39 is the cartridge.

    They're all shot on a Canon T1i with either a Canon EF Ultrasonic 28-85 f/3.5-5.6 or a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, aperature priority mode, Bogen-Manfrotto tripod, and a 3-axis pan/tilt head.

In my spare garage under mostly fluorescent lights with a little natural light diffused by a Venetian blind; black card table top as background

Your first photo is your best -- nice, I like it. :) You must have shot that at nearly wide open aperture, though, as the depth-of-field is so shallow.

The combination of the two can be fun!

Using a tilt-shift lens on some of these for selective focus might be interesting, to bring out the dynamic lines in what might otherwise be a rather static scattering of ammo. I also feel like I want to do some post-processing to heighten the contrast between silver and everything else.

Definitely can't combine a love of photography with a love of Glocks. In Long Beach, California, the police would stop you for taking pictures without aesthetic value.
