POST SOME PICS OF YOUR LEVER GUNS!!!

I'm getting a Marlin in a couple days and wanna get some ideas from you nice folk!

I've seen some custom slings that look nice, but I don't have $75 dollars for a custom sling! LOL

Also, recommendations on how to scope it? Rail with rings or just rings?

Also, how do you like the LeveRevolution rounds? Compared to others?

This will be a .30-30 BTW. Should know more this evening...

I'm a happy Marlin owner. What I don't own are pictures. Marlin 444P is my favorite.

Scopes don't belong on lever guns. JMHO

Leverevolution ammo were designed as a cure for a problem that never existed. i.e. waste of money. They shoot just fine but are no better than what already existed.:twocents:

Photobucket.com Upload the photos, copy the IMG address and paste it here.

My brother has one in 30/30, but I don't have any pics of it.. and I don't have any lever action anythings, myself..

    Getcha one!!!! :D

    :postpics: LOL

Yea, they might not belong, but the one I'm getting has been drilled and taped for mounts and I have a scope not doing anything so I guess it was meant to be. :D

So what ammo would be good if I wanted to shoot 200yrds+? BTW, Honaday's LeveRevolution seems to be cheaper than most other loads....

I have XS Sights Ghostrings on my Marlin 1894. I also tried to put a scout mount, but the front Allen screw sheared off. Need to get that fixed. I found the sights plenty accurate during deer season.

I'm good with irons myself, but I need new glasses and I'm not very accurate beyond 125yrds. I plan on using this at Appleseed but it won't have the scope on it when I go. :D

I also have a Sears version of the 336 that I picked up for $125 that is a great knock around gun.

That last photo struck me because of the laptop out as you cleaned your rifle. I just did that the other night when cleaning my GSG-5P. Had the laptop out with instructions and photos to help me get the damn thing apart and back together again.

:+1:on the Ghostrings. Much better than any glass for close quarters or woods shooting.

Here's my Marlin 336 w/ factory mounted scope.

Do you like those Scope mounts or would you rather have a rail?

I'm jealous now. I really like that Henry and the Navy Arms!!! :rockwoot:
What kinda ammo do you use in the Winchester? Which ammo should I stay away from?

I like the see through rings. I have a set on my muzzleloader that I hunt with as well. Maybe one day Indiana will change some laws around, and I can use my 30-30 in the woods :)

Yea I don't get why you can't use the 30-30 hunting. Doesn't make sense.

And can a guy get some recommendations on ammo here? :):

Marlin 357/38 Cowboy with a Wild West trigger system installed. I've heard Leverevolution ammunition by Hornady is some great hunting ammo but I've never tried it yet. I just cast my own lead.

Got my Marlin! I opted not to go with the 336-SC I was looking at and got the 30AW(?). I'll get pics after the kids go to bed as they don't know about this one and they don't need to yet.

BTW, I went with the one I got for a few reasons. One being mag capacity, this one holds more. Second, it has the checkered wood, not the straight smooth wood as the other did. It's also lighter than the other one. You'd think having a larger cartridge tube it would be heavier, but I think the wood is lighter.
