    Enough slams at the Members..

So what do you think....mbills2223 and MikeDVB are the same guy with 2 INGO profiles? One posts and the other pats him on the back. I don't think I need 2 profiles.....

I think that YOU should crawl back into your hole, and quit trying to act like a Mod on INGO!!

Four/five months on the Forum with a few hundred post does NOT get the Mod job done..Bill.

    Is the bartender the owner?

Why did you upholster your gun in the bar? Why didn't you wait until you were in a private area?

Why the hell would you upholster your firearm in a public place unless it was to use it for protection?

    More importantly.....
So when did the trend of upholstering guns start? Any pics? how do you get the material to stay on without interfering with the function of the gun?

    :D

OP is thinking, what a way to introduce myself to the site, with this post. Hope he learns form this and is not afraid to post here in the future. I think he gets the point now. There is always a cost for education.

I would have banned you too. Now learn from your very serious mistake, get some training, and learn and practice (frequently and consistently) deliberate safe handling.

You are actually lucky that a police report was not taken and could be used to revoke your LTCH.

Okay, here's my confession....I too am a newby and after reading 110 posts in this thread I STILL don't know the definition of coonfingering. I thought it was going to be something really bad in a non-firearms kind of way! I have also learned that there are some DIE HARD for their cause kind of people on INGO which is what is so cool about it. The OP screwed up, got it put to him and since then I have seen it all, it's cracking me up. Thank all of you (even the guys with two names !!) for allowing me to be a part of all this, I LOVE INGO!!

If my understanding of Indiana law is correct, you should not have been carrying in a bar if you were consuming alcohol. As for the ban, yes, they can do that. If they really wanted to push the matter, it is possible that you could have lost your license to carry. Any private business has the right to ban firearms from their premises, and if it is posted as such, violating their policy can result in revocation of your license if Law Enforcement gets involved. I'd say you got lucky.

No such Indiana law I've ever seen, re:carrying while drinking. It's a horrible idea, IMHO, but it's not illegal.

OP, live and learn. Good for you for standing up and taking the butt-chewing you got. Go and sin no more. ;)

And those of you who can't play nice together need to go play by yourselves. Yes, I said BY yourselves. Ignore lists can be your friend. Those who are using them to avoid bickering, thank you. Those who aren't.... please start before a mod has to get involved. :mods:

And for the record, the posters accused of all being the same person are in fact posting from different IP addresses. Not that that proves anything, but there you go.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Basically means touching/messing with when used in reference to a firearm.

I've seen it before, but I can't remember where. I've always erred on the side of caution.

That said, what is the law in regards to alcohol consumption while carrying (or is there one at all)?

Indeed! Hopefully they stick around :).

But I hear watching the banhammer fall is so much more fun... when it's not me/us.

Doesn't prove a whole lot, but a little. I have AT&T, Comcast, and Verizon all with devices that can roll IPs (dynamic IPs). Reason being - my business is internet-based and time-critical. If one of my ISPs is down, I have to have a fall-back and it's critical enough that I have two. Even have a small generator + UPS so that I can continue working in a power outage for an extended period even once my laptop battery is dead (around 6 hours of use).

That said, I have better/more important things to do with my time than to pretend to be more than one person. So you are right, I am just me and nobody else (I hope).

OP, you were in the wrong. We've all been wrong before. Learn from it, keep the firearm holstered next time.

It's a shame it might affect your job though. We can never fully understand the ramifications of our actions unfortunately. life will go on, and if you stick around INGO you can pile on the next guy who posts his transgression on the site :)

    Right here.
Admin or mods can determine if these people are posting from the same IP address pretty easily.

I'm just making a comment and want to see what my new avatar looks like. Since and all we're beating a dead horse now.

I like your new avatar Mackey! Did you take the pic yourself?

I think the only way the OP could have had a tougher night then tonight would be to walk around the Pendleton Correctional Facility naked, with the words "tag me, I'm your Huckleberry" tattooed on his back.

    "...tough crowd here tonight"

    BTW OP...:welcome: to :ingo:
