I'm not trying to dogpile, and I'm being facetious, but I would love to hear how you're going to explain to the GM of the restaurant how you got thoroughly horse whipped on the internet about your mistake.

I know you took the chastisement with humility and have said you've learned from your mistake, but it's still going to be funny trying to explain that.

I have nothing to add, but as I looked through this thread I realized I don't believe I have ever posted in an epic thread before. :draw:

1: Your meeting with the GM, beg and plead and act ashamed of your actions.
2: Gun training: This is an excellent idea. And don't stop there. Take at least one new training class a year and (once you've been properly trained how) practice everyday (dry fire) and shoot as often as you can justify spending money on it.
3: Know your limits. I drink when I CC, but I never do anything more than my liver can handle w/o affecting my judgement (the equation for most people is 1 drink per hour +1 to the total)

    Now for the beating:
Seriously dude. When I first read the title of this post I thought some grave injustice had been perpetrated upon gunowners.
Turns out the injustice was heaped upon the poor bartender. I would've banned you too. It's never even occured to me to draw my weapon in public, except once when a few guys tried to mug my mother. Beyond it being a poor safety decision to clear your chamber in a bar, think of the politics of the area. I know there aren't a lot of liberals and people afraid of guns in Indiana, but this is Indianapolis...you know where all the liberals come to close themselves off in Andre Carson's socialist bubble. You're lucky their response was one of reason and not losing their minds with fear.

That being said. We've all made mistakes. My grandpa a WW2 veteran, hunter, marksman, range officer, and life long gun enthusiast once put a hole through the closet door as a grown man. I followed in his footsteps and did the same thing when I was just coming of age. It's totally humiliating, but you're taking it like a man. Learn from this and remember it for the rest of your life. It will keep you humble, remind you of what a jackass you can be, and give you the right perspective to learn and be responsible.

Now continue to take your lashings and enjoy it. :)

I agree, print this thread! Hand it to him and walk away. Give him a week and see what he thinks.
