I think the term is "artillery hold", not infantry hold. This is per Tom Gaylord, airgun writer, and guru.
I bought a Hatsan 95 in .177 cal. I liked it so well I bought another in .25 cal. It's a very nice air rifle made from german steel, and with a walnut stock. At its price point, having a walnut stock is unheard of.
Since shooting is so expensive now, I figured I could maintain my shooting skills without breaking the bank. It's worked pretty well so far.

yessss.....I've already apologized 2-3 times for my poor conversant memory.....spend too much time working in my basement office w/o adult conversation.....I "meant" ARTILLERY...not infantry.... (I'm Navy-bent so, in my mind, they mean the same thing....don't they?)

At 10-15 yards it's not that difficult to swat a wasp. On the wing I have no chance, but when they land it's all over!

    Optics help. A lot.

I'll keep that in mind once this rain dries off. Lord knows I would surely enjoy "payback" on the stingers around here.....an I do have the optics to do the job at 10-15 yds, lol

sorry Principal Skinr, I've been away/busy...will get a picture of the mount tonight for you

No problem, and no rush. I was hoping it would ship today, as it has been listed as "ready for shipping" since last night around midnight, but it hasn't apparently shipped yet. I won't see it until probably Tuesday, is my guess.

I help run indoor NRA sanctioned International air pistol matches that are held at my .22 club once a month that are part of a league. I also shoot in my basement where I have a 10 meter range set up with a .22 trap. The rifle is powered by CO2 and the pistol is powered by pre-compressed air from a scuba tank. I bought a large used welder's 80 lb. CO2 tank and then had an internal syphon tube installed so that it could be used for filling CO2 air gun tanks.

Do. I like to dab honey or jelly on a sheet of paper to act as bait and weight the corners to combat the wind if necessary. Baiting isn't sporting when it comes to real hunting, but wasps and yellowjackets are vermin so all bets are off.

I just watched the "artillery hold" video. I guess I cannot get to excited about shooting an air rifle off of a sand bag. Nancy Johnson did not win the GOLD medal at the olympics for the USA from a sand bag. She held it to her shoulder and shot it. Are we such a sedintary society that we cannot even get off our butts and stand on our hind legs for shooting a pellet rifle?

I stopped watching that video when he said it would work fine for centerfire rifles as well, kinda lost credibility about his knowledge of marksmanship in my mind at that point.

Bought an airsoft G 17 with the idea of cheap practice. Never did that but it works great for scaring stray cats off my bird feeder.

Surprise! My brother and I received our Marauders today! We dialed them in at about 15 yards and weThe fitre putting pellets on top of pellets within a few shots. We then moved it out to 25 yards and did the same thing. This gun is crazy accurate! It is also super quiet and packs a wallup. We were putting pellets right through a 2x6 at 25 yards, with them burrowing into the wood behind it. I can see this thing taking a coyote with no trouble.

The scope is a nice unit, with good clarity, and lets in a decent amount of light. The illuminated reticle is cool, too, although I found myself using the black setting the most.

The quality fit and finish is really impressive. It is a beautiful machine. The wood looks nice, too.

I had as much fun shooting this thing today as I have with any other gun. I can't wait to shoot it again tomorrow afternoon.

    I'm digging the air gun!

carbon fiber tank is the way to go. holds 4500 psi, most of the paintball places will fill it. but it's pretty expensive and it has to be hydro'd every 3 years.

I heard it a ^&*^% to fill with the hand pump. You filling with a pump or a tank?

I'm pumping it like a teenager locked in a bathroom!

It isn't great, but it isn't as bad to me as pumping an air gun 10 time before each shot. I've been shooting 16 shots between fills. I'm ultimately going to get a tank, but I'm in no rush. It doesn't take as many pumps as I had been reading, but you do get tired and have to use your weight when you get near 3000 psi.

It is so sweet to shoot, though, it is worth it!

Been paintballing using HPA for years. I use a 98CID 4500 PSI tank. $180.00 although Pure energy makes cheaper and smaller ones for much less. ActionVillage.com has aluminum 3000 PSI ones as cheap as $37.00. My tank will last for a case of paintballs (2000 rounds). The Hydo is good for 5 years on a new tank and 4 years after that. After 9 years I would want to replace it anyway. PMI Pure Energy Aluminum 48/3000 Basic Tank - High Pressure Output

Well, I discovered today that my gun's pressure tank is reading low. My brother's gun and pump are identical. both pumps read 200 bar when his gun shows 3000 psi, which is actually about 2900psi. However, both pumps show 170 bar when my gun shows 3000. Because of that, my gun is shooting at a bit les velocity than his. We've got a Chrony F1 coming Tuesday, so we'll be able to verify the velocity difference then. They were both tested at Pyramydair before they were shipped, with 10 shots. His recorded about 40fps quicker than mine.

I'm debating sending mine back for an exchange or a repair. I love the gun and have it dialed in pretty good, but repair would probably take a week longer than exchanging it.

I'll keep you posted, but even at 2400psi, it shoots like a dream!

Just for snickers and giggles, I ordered a BB machine gun today, on a whim. It is a Umarex EBOS, and it runs on CO2. It is rated for about 520fps and shoots 500 rounds per minute, in 8 shot bursts. I'm thinking of turning a couple of melons, water melons, apples, and such into a fruit salad with it!
