I had a pretty good match, except for that farkin plate rack. A third, 3 fifths, one 6 and a farkin 16th place. It was a fun match, thanks Daniel and crew for the fun. Next time, I'll get a crash course on the Kindles. Sorry I had to DQ that guy before he fired a shot. I hate to DQ people.

And in all seriousness, if this sport really takes off due to our promotion of it, what are we going to do with 125 shooters at a club match? Are we going to run 20 person squads? Are we going to be on the range from 9 until 7 in the evening?
    It's a question I haven't seen addressed.

When I lived in MD, I was a regular at the Fredericksburg, VA monthly match (2 hrs to get there, about 4 hrs home since we had to go around DC...). it was 7 stages, 120+ shooters every month. They did pre-registration, and had a cut-off and waiting list. Shooting was from ~9-4. After I moved away they also broke into two "shifts," and am and a pm group. IIRC they tried to run the am group ~9-1 and the pm group 1-5, or something like that.

That would be a great problem to have.

From what I heard through the grape vine. He gunned up at the bay table... Not the Safe Area... He must not have been listening at the shooters meeting???? I'm thinking another broke the 180. But not sure??

Also Bill you did not DQ him he did that all by himself!! You just enforced the rule.

Remember ROs You need to notify MD when these things happen.

I installed the software on my phone at the range and was able to review the scores as they were updated on the way home. It doesn't get any cooler than that.

one of the things I was testing yesterday was almost live scoring. After the 2nd stage on, I was uploading results to practiscore periodically. I couldn't pull scores from bays 6-7 without walking around, so they weren't comprehensive, but it was somewhat useful for seeing how the match was shaping up.

If I can get the wifi to reach the back side, people will be able to see Interrim scores via the app as the day progresses. not quite in real time, but close.

Yes you can run the app on your phone, and if the club is set up with wifi you can actually review the scores as they update at the match

As Daniel pointed out any and all help is appreciated, one of the best things any shooter can do is show up and help for set up, not only do you get to see what goes into setting up stages, but you also get help give input, and start to develop stages plans way ahead of time.
Anybody can monday morning quarter back anything, but until you are there to put some sweat in and do the grunt work, to be honest no one really cares what you think. I don't mean that as a slam, well not really (maybe a little) but to show up at 9:45, then go and start tearing things apart and complaining really is just more or less just *****ing to be *****ing (and if we wanted that we could have all stayed home and had someone ***** about stuff)
Showing up at 8am, driving spikes, and moving barrels and hanging targets and then pointing out stuff will earn you respect, not the other way around.

It would also mean a very long day for MD's.

Yes, sorry Daniel, I should have contacted you on the DQ. He had his gun out at the bay table starting to gun up.

Thanks to the ACC crew for a fun match.

My squad got a slow start and on my first stage, some questionable ammunition caused me significant frustration. On the bright side, we got to reshoot that stage later and I improved by my time by 30 seconds (not a typ0) and had better hits (without the two misses I had on my first try). Having ammo that works is a good thing.

Yes what a horrible problem to have..:):

100 shooters with 7 bays wouldn't be that bad I guess 14-15 per squad. or just use 6 bays and cap at 85 shooters. But we would defiantly have to do preregister With prepay.. Set up a pay pal account for the match. I will have to go with what Rob wants to do on this part. Makes my life easier..:D

We will cross that bridge when we get there..

With out the reshoot stage we would have been out by 3:30.. oops

Thanks to Daniel , Rob and all who worked so hard to make a great match. These guys do a terrific job of stage design and setup, and spend a great deal of time planning these matches. Having challenging stages helps develop our skills and is important that the shooter is aware of thier shooting positions and movement. I think the stages were great and a ton of fun. I almost took a shot, which would have broken the 180, but I realized it, took one step back, then took the shot. That is what makes USPSA challenging. The shooter must be responsible for his plan and method of shooting the stage.

    Thanks for a great match!!!

Please don't use PayPal. Got to be other ways to pay.

    Agreed.

At the very least, they would need a commercial account that allowed one-time transactions without logging into Paypal and using an existing Paypal account.

I can't use Paypal from an account because someone broke into my account and bought stuff at a video game store using my credit card on file. I contacted my credit card company and they reversed the charge and cancelled my account before Paypal finished the anemic investigation process, so since I didn't allow liability for the payment to continue to hang in Paypal, they froze my account. I will never give them my banking or credit card information again.

Again, great match ACC crew! My shooting was not the best but had a great time none the less. Really like the new gravel in the bays.
