Pen is gone... They look much sturdier than they are. This is the result of stabbing a cardboard USPSA target with it:

    A plastic G2 faired better.

    Poor pen. :(

The Parker Jotter stainless steel is quite tough, I did stabbing tests on plywood with one.
It uses the same German made ink cartridge as the one you destroyed.

This is my EDC for trips to the grocery store and the like. If I need to travel to less desirable areas, I add a Glock 19 and a custom triple magazine pouch that holds 3, 33 round magazines that can be concealed in the side pocket of a pair of BDU pants.

Actually, when I'm carrying 3 guns, I have a total of 176 rounds. I very rarely find myself going places where I feel the need to carry 3 though. Usually 2 guns and 61 rounds feels sufficient.

Do any of you guys carry any medical gear? I always carry a Israeli bandage or a tourniquet or both. There is a decent chance you could get shot if your in a gun fight etc.

I always carry a Combat Application Tourniquet (that's the thing in the bag in the photo) on my person and keep a basic first aid kit in the truck.

SWAT-Tourniquet and gloves always in a pocket.
Also a pack of tissues that can be used with the SWAT-T to make a pressure dressing.

More medical stuff in a bag that is often with me, not always so it's not really a real EDC item.

I would need to buy bigger pants if I carried as much as some of yall
I always wear BDU pants (unless I'm at a wedding or a funeral). I cut the the blousing ties off to accommodate an ankle holster. I also wear a Blackhawk HPFU Tactical vest. That gives me 10-12 pockets (depending on the specific type of BDU pants I'm wearing, some have pockets on the leg). I also carry a LOT of stuff on my belt, but it is mostly concealed by the vest.
It does get cumbersome at times, and I lighten the load a bit when I'm doing manual labor in a location that I feel pretty secure at (mowing around the house and such) or when it gets really hot. I ALWAYS have at least one pistol and a spare mag unless I have to go through a metal detector.

I'd love to see some general description of job title or profession included with these posts. Just a broad stroke type of thing, neurosurgeon, tennis pro, carpenter, realtor, bank teller, fast food worker, police officer, postal worker, preist, assassin ...
