I'm retrieving my property of they want to get, physical then I'd defend myself. People don't always have to be *****es and call, the police.
This is why our society is wimps. We have been evolved into calling others to fix our problems.

Ah yes, the logical thing to do. Confront them while armed and then when you get scared, defend yourself. That's the best option and definitely won't make you look like an ass when you get on the news

My BIL had his laptop bag stolen from his car in his garage. An iPad was also in the case. He used the find iPhone app and called police. He told them he was armed and was going to get his stuff. IMPD met him and then they both went to get it. Found it in a car at Community hospital. The guy had checked in for symptoms. Many other stolen bags and a stolen handgun in the car also.

my BIL was quite impressed with police response on it.

Interesting Because I've seen cops say here on ingo that the GPS ping off a stolen item isn't enough for a search of property. The police aren't consistent it seems. Not just with this but with other things to. I guess some of it depends on which cop you get and how bad he wants to help you

He was able to ID the bag through a window. But I know what you mean on even getting started in the first place

Makes you wish there was a self destruct app for phones. Enter a code and the phone bursts into flames in the thieves pocket.

It can't be that hard, some do that NOW without the app.

But but but that's illegal. We can't allow poor criminals to be hurt. Same stupid laws that prevent you from putting booby traps on your own property. We wouldn't want to hurt a criminal

I laughed pretty hard when I read that.
You have to know who you are posting about before you post a direct reference like that I guess.
No knock on the posting member as this is pretty normal thinking these days.
