    The Southern Bend
    Let's see:

St. Joseph County PD : SIG P229 .40
    South Bend PD : M&P 9
    Mishawaka PD : M&P 9
    Memorial Hospital PD : SIG P226 .40
    Elkhart County Sheriff's Department: Glock 22 .40
    Elkhart PD : SIG P229 .40 (I believe)
    Goshen PD : SIG P229 .40 (I believe)
    Bristol PD : M&P 40
    Middlebury PD : Glock 22 .40

Some departments around here are switching to 9mm. Elkhart was going to switch to the new SIG P320 in .45, but it failed to fire every JHP they tried, so they sent them back.

I just checked with a friend at Bloomington PD. They just switched last week to gen 4 17s and 19s. Both are the MOS versions. If the officer wants to carry a red dot, they can if they buy it them self.

Just curious. Why do you want to get the same gun that's issued to BPD?

Im nearing the end of my useless degree and for the last two or three years my head is just stuck on getting involved in law enforcement as a career, also im planning on taking some legitmate defense classes just for myself. Id like to use that platform for the classes and maybe swap over to it for my edc.

I don't know who that guy is, but he has my same philosophy on firearms (for the most part, since I'm a huge fan of different rifle actions). That's why my handguns are the Glock 17, 19, and 26. Everything pretty much works for everything except my light is only mounted to the 17 (the holsters I buy specifically for the 19 will fit the 26, but the 17 holsters won't fit the smaller two unless I add a light).
