The Argentina Armed Forces, Buenos Aries PD and Argentina Federal Police use Bersa 9mm's.

That is what happens when your countries economy has been flushed down the toilet and funds are limited. :D

Hancock County sheriff and greenfield Pd are glock 21.

Cops that carry a .45. At least we know where to go if we need a _real_ cop.

Judging by the expensive cars (2009 CVPI with mustang-like engines and 2009 chevy tahoes), AR-15's, expensive laptops in cars, expensive dash cams and such, maybe they carry Sigs! :)

If they have the money, they are not going to settle for second class, they would be buying HKs.

Oh, some IUPUI officers still carry 15 year old S&W Sigmas, with newer officers getting Glock 22s. I guess they will replace the old jam-o-matic/break-o-matic S(hity)&W(orthless) Sigmas if they get funding.

    Muncie
From what i have seen the Muncie PD carry 3rd generation Glock 22's as does the County Sheriff's department. My uncle who is a cop for the county carried a Smith&Wesson 5906 in 9mm when he first joined before the department switched to Glock 22's. He then carried a 2nd Gen G22 with Trijicon Night sights, and a hogue grip from then till now. Only until recently about four weeks or so ago, he upgraded to a brand new 3rd Gen Glock 22 with what I think a surefire light and a set up where he can carry both in the holster.

Also when i was at the Muncie PD to get my LTCH application, one of the cops who was manning the enterence had a 3rd Generation Glock 23. So I assume that you pick what you prefer?

Then a few years back, I was in Greensburg and saw cops there carrying what looked like SigPro 2009's in 9mm, and in Noblesville about 3 years ago I saw cops carrying what looked like Two Tone H&K USP compacts in I assume either 9mm or 40SW.

Last I was told Adams County Sheriffs Dept carries SigPro 2340 in .357 Sig. I'm not sure about Decatur PD. I have a friend that is an Adams County reserve, I'll have to ask him.

From what I've seen Boone Co. Sheriffs carry 1911's. Not sure which brand. Anybody know for sure?

Mostly government 1911s (they get them surplus from the U.S. Army and then gunsmith them to BCSD requirements).

Ken Campbell's son shot next to me in my last class. He was shooting a Yost Gunsite 1911.

    Ha!

Actually, from what I have read, the Bersa is fairly expensive in it's own country. Why, I have no idea, but that is what i have read.

Besides, some may argue that it is patriotic to support your own country's gun manufacturers instead of gong foreign...perhaps that is the main reason they do so? :dunno:

After my post I read FerFal's blog Surviving in Argentina. I guess he has finally had enough and is planning on moving back to the states. He actually spoke highly of Bersa as well. Then again he spoke just as highly as Glock.

Decatur PD carries Sig P220 in .45ACP.

Also, I thought the Adams county Sheriffs Dept. carried the 2340 in .40S&W?
