Remember the CoP serves at the whim of the mayor and is generally his mouth piece. If you don't like what the CoP is saying, it's the mayoral race you need to focus on.
Bloomington, imagine that!
But what the hell are they against. Indiana already honors gun permits issued from other states!!??
Bwahaha, do these pinheads realize that Indiana already has national reciprocity?
IC 35-37-2-21(b).
What a stupid, moronic move.
4.. so what percentage is that? Something pretty low.
Doubt if any can be voted out. Liberal strongholds.

Were it up to those four, Indiana wouldn't honor out of state license and permits, nor have a license of its own. They'd be happy if no private citizens were allowed to keep or bear arms.
It was 0.04%. I'll have to find the link I used in my math on it, here's a blurb on the report:

DOJ OIG Releases Report on the Handling of Firearm Purchase Denials through
the National Instant Criminal Background Check System
The
Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the
Inspector General (OIG)
announce
d today the
release of a report that examined aspects of the National Instant Criminal Background Check
System (NICS). NICS, which is administered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), is used
by Federal Firearms Licensees, importers, and manufacturers to determine whether a
prospective purchaser is legally prohibited from buying a firearm. The FBI processed more than
51 million NICS transactions from 2008 to 2014, of which 556,496, or about 1 percent, were
denied.
When the FBI denies a sale, it refers the matter to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives (ATF) for additional review, possible firearm recovery, and consideration to pursue
prosecution by the
U.S. Attorney’s Offices (USAO). Between 2008 and 2015, ATF formally
referred 509 NICS denial cases that included 558 subjects for possible prosecution, and the
USAOs accepted 254 of these subjects, or less than 32 subjects per year, for consideration of
prosecution.

Yeah, Southwest only had a couple of weak fan blades. What harm could come of that?
Would you accept 4 out of whatever as your plant's quality control results?

I do not know what the criteria are for being appointed to Chief of Police in these cities. But one thing is clear, they do not require any knowledge of the law.
I'm quite sure Diekhoff would love nothing more than to sit behind his desk and stamp "DENIED" on every permit application that wasn't a personal friend of his.
I'm honestly surprised the city council hasn't passed an AWB yet, for the sole purpose of wasting our money on a pointless court case just like they're wasting our money on a court battle to force the annexation that nobody wanted.
