Well, then I don't know who you're mad at.
I'm assuming it was the people that didn't go in.
But without reference, maybe you're mad at Kyle.

    :dunno:

I'm not mad at Kyle. I'm mad at the... go with the title of this thread and multiply by 10. A child was intimidated and threatened by school officials and police over the legal activity of going to a shooting range with his father and speaking positively about being educated on the 2nd Amendment.

    Okay.
    Well, I'm pretty mad also.

I just saw Kyle Kashuv interviewed by Tucker Carlson. I am pissed. I want these ****ers sued. I want these ****ers fired. I want these ****ers' lives ruined. I want these ****ers to not be able to get a job anywhere, anytime and be ****in homeless. OK, I'm done.

Given this kid is a political operative, I'll wait until I hear both sides of the story before passing judgement.

Because there might be justification for pulling an innocent kid out of class, putting him in a room with the school's security officers and a county sheriff's deputy and interrogating him like a criminal suspect? Over posting video of going to a shooting range with his father and getting professional instruction?

Ignoring the fact the kid has opposed the anti-2A, anti-NRA clique of students who are supported by the school admin and Broward Co Sheriff who are desperate to shift blame for their failings on to the evil guns? The kid who is disrupting their self-serving narrative?

Because that's just a coincidence, right?

    Because sometimes, people lie.
In the DGU thread, I posted an article about a business owner shooting someone in defense.
But, a day or two later, it turns out it was murder, not defense.

    "Because sometimes, people lie."

Indeed they do. But context and circumstances can make it easy to determine if someone is lying.

I've been following young Kashuv's conduct on social media and in the news. He has comported himself admirably and with a maturity beyond his years.

The school administration and the Browards County Sheriff, on the other hand, completely failed their community. And I'm not aware of any claims by either that young Kashuv is lying about what they did.

Lastly, I'm a retired attorney with many years experience in criminal defense. I recognize typical police conduct in Kashuv's description of what happened. Specifically, conduct intended to intimidate suspects or reluctant witnesses.

Your mileage may vary. I'll put my money on Kashuv and give long odds.

Typical police conduct involves intimidating suspects and reluctant witnesses? Uh, ok. All I'm saying, is that it's not unheard of, people "embellishing" their stories when it comes to interacting with police. The kid may 100% be telling the truth, but he has been put forward, as the the alternative to the anti-2A Parkland kids. I simply would like to hear what the other side, of this instance, have to say before passing judgement.

So tell us, why should we think Kashuv is lying?

Give us one single thing that kid has done to make us think he is lying.

    Just one thing.

I didn't say that he was lying. I said that I'd like to hear the other side of the story before I committed to believing one way or the other. Is that not a fair way to look at things? Just because one can't cite a specific instance of someone lying, one doesn't default to believing everything that person says. At least I'd hope not.

If you're going to alter my comment you should say you've altered my comment. If you put something I've said in bold when I didn't you should make it clear what you've done.

In my experience, police will use whatever approach they think will work. And when their goal is to intimidate someone who hasn't done anything wrong they often behave exactly as Kashuv describes. Isolate the person, outnumber him, surround him, intimidate with aggressive and intrusive questioning, then bring in a new interrogator and start all over.

Some cops are good people doing a tough job. Some aren't.

Which comment was altered. I haven't looked, but If I did so, I apologize as it wasn't intended.

And the "some aren't" (based on your own words from earlier) are typical?

Don't put words in my mouth. That's not what I said.

And again you altered my comment without making note of the alteration.

Are you trying to provoke me?

Is that how petty you are?

    Pathetic.

Bro, I'll be honest. I really don't know what you're talking about. I'm not trying to provoke you. I'm trying to nail down your position based on your own words.

Edit: I went back and looked. Now I understand what you're talking about. Members typically bold the portion of a comment they are responding to that is relevant. That's kinda an accepted way of doing things around here. Pretty much everyone understands that it means that this is the portion the replier is addressing.

No, you're not. You're a contrarian ******* looking to start some sh**.

Going forward, as far as I'm concerned, you don't exist.
