Yup, it's a G36C. The police over there love H&Ks as their long guns. For the longest time the PSNI (formerly RUC) used G3s for long guns along with MP5s. Now they seem to be switching over too.

HK G36 and HK UMPs are very popular over in France too.
I think all MP5 have been replaced by UMPs now.
