There were a few, but they didn't last very long. That guy must have been in some branch of the military I don't recognize.
Get butthurt like that a lot, and you will get harassed a LOT.
Then again, I guess I did see people like that.
From what I gather, he's had a lot of time since his service in 'Nam to develop an attitude. That guy must have been in some branch of the military I don't recognize.

Coast Guard?
Ok, Navy then?I'm an Army Vet (19 Delta) but I don't think one should disparage the Coast Guard. A lot of the Coast Guard personnel do a lot of dangerous work protecting our Ports and waterways from Drug Runners etc. Some Coast Guard people do a lot more than some pencil pushing clerks in other branches of service. I have watched the Coast Guard save some lives on the Ohio River down here.
Lets back it up a little bit. Act was a Submariner. When he says "branch he doesn't recognize as the military", the Coasties come to mind. Anybody who has spent any time around the Navy (two tours at Kelfavik NAS, Iceland for me) you know that's a pretty safe bet. If I was to say "the Coast Guard is closer to a law enforcement entity than a military branch", that isn't disparaging. That's an observation. Operates with civilian LEO entities, no unified command structure, sounds .gov LEO to me. Photo op on the deck of the SS Pablo Escobar (which looks like the USS Monitor) along with DEA agents? Theeeeeyyyyy might be LEO.I'm an Army Vet (19 Delta) but I don't think one should disparage the Coast Guard.
