    Alternative take...

Whistleblower goes to House Dems. House Dems correctly say that's not how this works, and direct him/her to use the whistleblower process. Yes, Schiff lied about this sequence of events, that's something, but the actual events appear to be lawful otherwise. Though this will give the GOP some ammo.

If Kut gets to read tea leaves, so do I. Obviously, from all the facts we have now, without getting into too much graphic detail, let's just say that "whistleblower" was the CIA's dude's nickname, and Schiff learned of the phone call during "pillow talk". From there, Schiff convinced ole whistler to blow a different kind of whistle. And the rest is history. So it went down something like that.

CIA person doesn't need to know anything - it goes to the dumocraps to sell its idea to be a whistleblower for a few rubles which they happen to have laying around. They give the money and say 'here, fill out this form, then go blow'. So, of course the dumocraps knew about it ahead of time.

What is the difference between a spy and a whistle blower?

A spy steals information that they have illegally accessed, and disseminates it to those who cannot legally possess said information.
A whistleblower (concerning this case), takes information that they have legally accessed, and disseminates it to the those who can legally possess said information.

What was your question rhetorical? ;)

So we take your answer to its logical conclusion we first need to find out if the whistleblower was legally allowed to have the information, or not then he and those who he acquired it from should be arrested and charged...

The information in the whistleblower report was not the whistleblowers...

The whole idea that somebody like Senator Schumer would say that they are afraid of crossing the CIA is testament to the depth of corruption in dc. Being afraid of retaliation from a government police agency is completely, totally, wrong, the only way it works is if they've got some leverage on the leadership, a tactic going back to Hoover and the FBI.

Sure, that's fair. If he was in possession of information he shouldn't have, prosecute him. I have issues with that at all.

Circling back to this case for a second, what do you call a person who conspires with a Congressman to create information that they had no first hand knowledge of and then disseminates it?
