Yeah, so reading the indictment he didn't just get some machineguns and then 'forget' to demo them. Him and some chiefs of police operated an illegal importation ring, buying Russian guns against US sanctions, and flipping for fun and profit. Unconfirmed, but maybe to the tune of 7 figures of fun and profit.

I think a lot of people, me included, thought he just got caught up in a perhaps overzealous prosecution for trying to get some toys by creative means. What he's plead guilty to isn't that. Not sorry for him, not sorry for the chiefs of police using their positions to help it along, either. Greed got the better of them, apparently.
That's a lot of words to say you approve of regulation of firearms

How is BBI reporting what LAV admitted to is being for control? It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks fact of the matter is certain things are illegal and everyone can do whatever they want just make sure their career, reputation and bank account can handle it.

Most disagree with taxes and vehicle tag fees however incarceration and fines keep most from bucking no
Matter how tough they ramble BS.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.....It amazes me that guys that have so much, think that they are above the law, or don't think they'll get caught... Vickers HAD a good reputation and business....now he will be known for trying to skirt the law, no matter how stupid the law..."Repeal the Hughes Amendment!!"

Your use of commas is puzzling.

It's the illegal importation ring part.
Importing parts kit and parts of dubious orgin has long been a common grey-area practice, in many cases allowed by inaction on the Feds part. He didn't import an AK12 he imported a parts kit, he's facing 20 years for that. What of all the other's with AK12 or other post sanction kits? Are they criminals too? What if it's just a pistol grip? According to the Feds, apparently, yes.
He's pleading guilty because he's a tumor riddled oldman and the AlL lAwS aRe InFrInGeMeNtS crowd are dog piling.
Sanctions are great and all, but why does that only apply to the end purchaser of a kit? Why can the p*dofiles in Washington purchase MILLIONS of dollars of oil from sanctioned state oil companies? Simple, because the goal is your disarmament. They need not worry about facing backlash because we eat our own at the first opportunity.
Some people are just walking contradictions I suppose.
I agree with no sympathy for the cops, pigs can wallow in their own sh*t.

As has been mentioned it isn’t so much of forgetting to demo a class 3 and some parts but the fact they sold parts and made $$. Agree or not when big GOV finds out you liked them in the eye the usually say something.

I really like LAV and had mad respect for his firearms content and I hate that this happened but like many not exactly surprised. As his statement had some pretty damning content.

He's a true American for importing "illegal" arms against this tyrannical government. My only disappointment is how easily he rolled over for them.

I'm sure they were only selling those items to "people of good character, and solid morals".

So I'm today years old when I learn that Larry Vickers, by his own admission, is a felon and a bitch.

Be interesting to hear Larry's side of the story.

From the Feds in various agencies to the reporters to news outlets, we are not talking about folks with pristine records of honest information. At best these folks have likely embellished.

Same goes with the "plea deals" that were agreed to. Pretty easy to run even wealthy folks out of lawyer money fast, let alone to finish a could be never ending personal wealth elimination case? When tax dollars are paying the other side's bills?

"Go to prison for the rest of your life or sign right here...?"

Larry and friends may or may not being guilty of wrong doing, but in today's world how would you really know for sure?
