Can't bring myself to carry an expensive knife

I too had the same mind set as the OP just a couple of years ago. Now my EDC is usually a ZT0804 or lately a Berg Blades Iron Wolf. I’ve carried higher end production blades like some Reate’s, Curtis, and have a Zieba on the way but not necessarily as an EDC. For me the $200-$300 range offers a...

      The Official 3d Printing thread

Well the Prusa kit showed up and plan to start assembly tomorrow. And completely in the opposite direction I came across a good deal on a little Monoprice select mini V2 that I picked up. These little machines are pretty impressive considering their cost and size.

I’ll definitely post up when it comes in and I get it together. Only “upgrade” I’m going to do at the moment is put a silicone sock on the hot end.

Well I thought I would update on my new printer choice. After looking over specs etc I decided to order a Prusa MK2s, definitely looking forward to getting it. Decided on it over the Robo for the heat bed corner compensation and the better hot end.

I definitely appreciate your input and knowledge on the CR10. If I ever have a chance I’d certainly like to come check out your printers. When I mentioned the Robo was Second largest I meant in the printers I had posted are being considered. I don’t necessarily need height but a larger build...

I’ll have to look into that. Right now the Robo is my likely choice as it’s build volume is the second largest, meets all requirements, and has ABL.

I’ll look into the anycubic. I think the cr10s also has an updated/upgraded board compared to the original cr10. Currently the Robo R1+ is the leading one I’m considering as the build plate size is close to the CR10 but has some nice features such as ABl.
