Was this in Wanamaker?? If so, I'd like to know more as I live VERY close to "downtown" Wanamaker and have seen roving bands of trouble recently.
Could this have been some teens playing Army or just generally messing around? What makes you sure that they were up to something bad? Just asking...
I own a 4516-1 and here is what I like about it:
All Steel Frame
SA/DA
Heavy enough to keep recoil to a manageable level
Reliable, digests various brands of ammo without a hiccup
Sight dovetails accept lots of different sights
I also have had nothing but good experiences with the folks at Beech Grove Firearms!!
Friendly, knowledgeable, dedicated and fair in price all describe BGF. They are a full service shop with a small town atmosphere! :rockwoot:
OK. I fail to see how you came to this conclusion regarding the GPS receiver since it isn't "sucking" signals. As per Howstuffworks.com
I still don't know how "they" could track a receiver that has no ability to transmit data. If I follow your theory correctly, then "they" can track me on my...
A receiver does not send a signal to a satellite! A receiver receives the signal from the satellites and triangulates your pos based on the receivers dir/dist/elevation from the satellites. Now a two way GPS can be tracked by the satellites as well as most cell phone based GPS apps, OnStar etc...
This! I carried a Buck 110 for 7 years and used it for everything from opening MRE's and Ammo crates to pounding in aiming stakes for our mortars! I even used it once to cut concertina wire out of the HMMWV's half shaft!! Very useful and built like a tank!
Not if you only have a GPS receiver!!
Dead reckoning and terrain orientation would serve you better in a SHTF scenario! Learn to use the terrain and natrual features to navigate and you should never get lost!!!
I wish I had a nickel for every time a 2nd LT got us lost in the Army while using...
Thanks for the replies folks!
I think I need more trigger time as Shooter and others suggested. I am wondering if a trigger job would ease the trigger pull in DA mode? I know I just need to practice in DA but i have plenty of experience pulling the trigger so i know I can overcome this.
On a...

I picked up a new to me S&W 4516-1 .45ACP last week from Beech Grove Firearms. This gun is in excellent condition with box, paperwork and 3 mag's.
This is my first S&W semi auto pistol and I'm learning a lot. This is also the first SA/DA pistol I have owned and I must say that I like it! The DA...
