      A picture would be proof of former possession. Not sure that would be sufficient for loony Bloomington. I'd agree that if you still had a serial numbered box for the recovered firearm, that would be pretty strong evidence, but that assumes you had a box to begin with and that it wasn't stolen...

      M&P Shield front sight movement?

      I sent two Shields back to the factory to have the front sight centered. Both were visually off to the naked eye. S&W didn't argue one bit, which tells me it was a known manufacturing issue.

      22lr automatic opinions?

      Best 22LS semi-auto I ever fired (by far) is/was the M&P22 (not the compact - didn't like the trigger). Walther made these for S&W and they are/were smooth as butter. Eat anything and so easy to rack a round.

      Wow...I remember trading a $350 revolver for an Israeli K98 rebarreled in 7.62 NATO just 5 years ago. Had no idea what I was doing in milsurps back then but it looks like it worked out well.

      I bought 4,000 9mm bullets a few years back thinking I'd mothball them for awhile until it made financial sense to reload them. Looks like we are there.

      Selling firearm, Get receipt or not

      As a buyer, I always want some form of receipt to prove ownership. Bloomington PD recovered a stolen firearm for a friend and REQUIRED proof of ownership to return it to him. No idea what he would have done if he'd lost his bill of sale.

      Best way to sell a few firearms from a private collection in 2020?

      Classifieds here a solid choice, but I've got to get more active to qualify...working on that. Beyond that, if you have the time to take GOOD pictures and describe your guns well, you will likely do ridiculously well on Gunbroker, even after the fees. I listed three $200 home defense shotguns...

      I wasn't very active on Armslist, but this is the nail in the coffin for me. It's not like there were a lot of great deals anyway. Reminds me of how Netscape went out of business...one bad "upgrade".
