It is really ironic that the "tax the rich" plans always get support. The tax system is a criminal fraud, a bureaucratic job-maker for IRS and associated agencies as well as civilian firms. Flat tax, consumption tax? Too simple!
For a long while I thought term limits were the answer, but the ballot box is far more powerful. We just accept too much crap as citizens. If they don't do right, vote 'em out.
Of course, this presumes that there are any candidates worth supporting. We should all step up.
This is a good comment. I had been in favor of term limits for elected officials, but an article I found pointed out that there is a mechanism already in place to limit time in office. It's called an election. We need to use this tool more effectively.

While it seems to be a given in most circles that LE is biased if not outright racist, I don't see anyone asking why. Are only biased, latent racists hired? Could it be that the bias is learned, experiential behavior? This seems to me a fundamental issue that has not been explored.
Agreed. We pay LE, FD, Military personnel to put themselves in harm's way because it contradicts our instinct for self preservation. If someone voluntarily pokes the bear, it his personal choice and responsibility.
