      Leather Holster help

I found a leather holster company on the web and decided to give them a try. The company is OUTBAGS, you can google outbags holsters and find them. I bought the IWB, and have a OWB on order. Since trying them I have bought several, I love them and will never go back to plastic.

Good red dot for rimfire pistol plinking

I put a Vortex Venom on my 22/45. I LOVE IT. I do think you can use something much cheaper and be very happy. The Mark IV 22/45 is quickly becoming one of my favorite pistols to shoot.

A Good Spotting Scope On A Budget? First time buyer’s guide…

I got a spotting scope at Harbor Freight, it was maybe $40. I was very skeptical. I will say that the furthest I usually shoot is 100 yards, and it does the job. Would I buy it again? No doubt! I highly recommend it. For the money I am very impressed.

Fluorescent tubes to LED? What do I do? What do I need to know to decide?

Some LED tubes work with certain ballasts. You have to know what type of ballast you have. There are a lot of tubes on the market that are designed to bypass the ballast all together. If you are going to bypass the ballast you just need to understand how to wire the fixture.

      wild boar hunting, where?

I HIGHLY recommend Wilderness Hunting Lodge in Montery TN. I have been twice now. It is laid back, you will see a lot of different animals, and just a lot of fun. For the price of around $1100, you get a trophy boar, lodging for 3 nights and food. Guides are great and I have met different...

      Backpacking and carry

When I go hiking (deer skouting) I open carry with a OWB holster with good retention. I never open carry in public, but when I'm out in the woods that seems like the most comfortable option.

      Tips for first time hunter

Best tip you can get it to get in the woods, be still and quiet. The more time you spend hunting the more you will learn. There are a lot of public sites in Indiana that have some great hunting. I have a public spot I go to and see deer nearly every time I go, it did take some time to figure...

      Do I have to wear hunter orange if . . . . . .

Don't forget when you are in a ground blind you are required to have an orange square on all four sides. The square has to be 144 sq inches or 12 x 12". When walking in and out in the dark why wouldn't you want orange, you aren't hunting so why not error on the side of caution?

      Firearm regulations.

There are areas that you CAN NOT shoot does at all during firearms season, these are public lands. For example Atterbury. There are signs around that say no bonus antlerless. Just make sure you understand the laws, they can be confusing, there are other public lands you CAN take a doe. If...

Any avid river fisherman in central IN?

Go down to the White River, talk to the guys that fish for catfish and carp. They know where all the fish are and usually have no problem whats so ever helping you out. Don't discount the city either, there are fish downtown Indianapolis.

Sad day for my son and I. Former hunting land sold.

Don't be afraid to look at public land. I went to some public land a few years ago, only because it was close to home and I didn't have much time, and learned of a 180" class deer in the area. This deer was taken opening weekend (not by me) about 400 yards from where I was in my stand. I go...

Trail Camera Favorites...Post your favorite pictures captured on your cameras!

I have a camera out on public land, I have pretty good reason to believe there are some nice bucks in the area. Its been out since late November, if it hasn't been stolen it may be interesting to see what I have there. The day I put it out, I went ahead and climbed a tree there, only to see a...
