Applied on Nov 1st (non L1)
ISP cashed check on Nov 8th.
Received my permit in the mail today (Feb 13)
clean record. No tickets or anything.
Was definitely worth the wait.
Actually no they do not. Leah was nice enough to inform me that when she come across my application that she would give me a call to let me know considering how far away i live from my post office for my mail. Otherwise, once they get the application done and it is approved, they just mail it...
When Leah called me to let me know she approved mine (cashed checked on the 8th of Nov standard app (non L1), she said they were working on the first of november's (non L1's). It all depends on how much backlog their is, but from what i was told they go by the date the money order was cashed...
She was very helpful with mine and even called me to let me know it had been approved. Main reason i called to check my status is because i have to drive into town to the post office to get my mail. Not just a simple walk down the driveway :(
Just wanted to update everyone. I had called ISP several times and the last time was January something. Anyway, I spoke with a nice woman named Leah who said she would try to find my app and get it approved and sent out to me. So i had called earlier this morning to check and some unknown woman...
I done the regular way in jennings county and check was cashed by ISP on November 8th. Still nothing as of yet. The last time i called ISP they told me L1 was running anywhere from 4-5 weeks out.

Also, as far as i know everything is processed through the main firearms headquarters at the state police in Indianapolis. They do the processing for ALL of the indiana counties.
Yes it is possible. I run websites and if something gets corrupt in the database or for some reason the server does not respond correctly it can show a different time. But, it would usually only be off by a few hours at the most. Of course, FB has had a lot of issues lately so it is hard to say.
